Just wanted to share my experience with CCI A17 17 HMR Varmint Tip ammo. It’s my top choice for varmint hunting and target shooting.

The performance is awesome, explosive expansion and super accurate. It feeds perfectly in my Savage A17 . Plus, has very clean-burning powder

Highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable rimfire ammo

Nice! I’ve been using just the regular Winchester 17 Rimfire for varmints too, and it’s been solid. It's pretty good and runs great in my setup

Yeah, they will catch em  .17HMR ammunition also ran faster than listed, with our set-up is probably around 2700fps. With the boys we had a productive few hours hunting squirrels, taking shots that I normally might have avoided due to their distance. The CCI HMR flatter trajectory and greater stopping power of my ammo gave me the confidence to ensure clean with the long range shots.

I picked up a box of ammo this weekend for around $55 to try out.  I am going to try the new ammo in my Marlin XT-17. I recently mounted a scope on it and am aiming to hit the range this weekend. I'll share my thoughts on its performance with the new rounds afterward.

Sounds like the CCI A17 17 HMR Varmint Tip ammo really does the job. Great accuracy and explosive expansion make it a solid choice for varmint hunting. Glad to hear it's feeding well in your Savage A17 too! Appreciate the recommendation- might have to try it for myself
